The best way of treating a yeast infection of the vagina is to first take a tampon and coat it with some KY jelly or olive oil. This forms a protective coating to the tampon and so prevents the tea tree oil you apply to it from being soaked into it.

You only need to apply a few drops of the oil to the top of the tampon and then insert it inside the vagina and leave in place for around ½ hour. This treatment should be carried out twice each day for around 2 weeks.
